Kids Fuel - Sundays // 9:00am & 11:00am

Helping kids and their parents find and grow in a relationship with Jesus Christ.

What We Learned This Week: Philip and the Ethiopian (Acts 8:26–40)
Brite Idea: God seeks us out.
This Month’s Big Question (For Pre-K): Is God in control of everything? Yes!
An angel instructed Philip to travel a desert road where he encountered an Ethiopian official reading the book of Isaiah. The Holy Spirit guided Philip to approach the man, who invited him to explain the Scripture. After hearing about Jesus, the official believed and asked to be baptized. Philip baptized him, and as they emerged from the water, the Spirit took Philip away. The Ethiopian man continued his journey, rejoicing. God's plan for salvation was for all nations, not just the Jews.
Up to this point, most people who had heard and believed God’s message were God’s people, the Jews. But God had told His followers in Acts 1:8 that His message was to be shared with people all over the world. When Jesus died on the cross, He died for the sins of all people of every nation, race and ethnicity. He is the same Lord over all and is ready to save all who call on Jesus for salvation (Romans 10:12–13). We can share this good news with everyone everywhere!
Monthly Memory Verse (Elementary): Yours, O Lord, is the greatness and the power and the glory and the victory and the majesty, for all that is in the heavens and in the earth is Yours. (1 Chronicles 29:11a)

Monthly Memory Verse (Pre-K): Yours is the greatness and the power and the glory. (1 Chronicles 29:11)

Pointing Preschoolers to Jesus: This Bible story reminds us that the good news is for every person, no matter who they are or where they are from. God seeks us out so that we can learn about His love. The Ethiopian official needed to hear about Jesus. God sent Philip to tell him that Jesus came to save everyone from their sins. We can share the good news with everyone … everywhere!

Navigating a Broken World - Discouragement
A case study discovered that 12 percent of people had a fear of receiving feedback. Sometimes hearing the hard thing hurts! Kids experience this too. Kids can have strong reactions when they’re told that they aren’t doing something right. Sometimes the Bible can feel overwhelming to kids because they might view it as a list of things they are doing wrong. They may feel discouraged because it seems there are so many things to work on or ways to do better. This discouragement can lead to kids being standoffish about the message or unwilling to hear the truth. Help kids see that God’s Word is about how much He loves us and seeks out a relationship with us—it isn’t about a list of dos and don’ts. When kids seem discouraged or disinterested, point them toward how awesome Jesus is.
Here’s how we discussed this topic and how you can discuss it at home:
Discuss: Does following God and learning about what He wants us to do ever feel hard?
Discuss: What might frustrate someone about trying to follow God?
Say: Following God isn’t always easy. Sometimes learning about God and His message can feel confusing and overwhelming. It may make us realize ways we act that we don’t like. That doesn’t always feel good. We may start thinking of the Bible as a list of do’s and do not’s, and we can be discouraged that we can’t do it all. The most important thing we can remember is that God loves us. The ultimate message of the Bible is that He wants a relationship with us. He wants the best for us, but He doesn’t ask us to do everything on our own. He gives us the Holy Spirit to help us grow closer to Him and become more like Him. Galatians 6:9 says: And let us not grow weary of doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we do not give up.

Kids Fuel exists to "partner with parents" in helping kids find and grow in a relationship with Jesus Christ. We believe in this "partnership"  because a child will spend far more time under the influence of the home than the church. At Kids Fuel, we bring age-appropriate presentations of the Bible story and encourage opportunities for each child to build a relationship with a consistent role model. We then inform parents of the lessons being taught and encourage them to have intentional conversations with their child during the week for reinforcement. Look for resources that come home each week to disciple kids at home.

Kids Fuel cares for newborns through 5th grade. For your peace of mind, we have a secure electronic check-in and every Kids Fuel volunteer has undergone a background check. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact Erin Taylor at erin@fuel.church.

Fuel Students

6th – 12th Grade

Wednesdays 6:30–8:30 PM

Helping students find and grow in a relationship with Jesus Christ. Our theme for 2026 is DIFFERENT — committed to the process of sanctification. Current Series: FULL CIRCLE — The Cause.

Students

Helping Students Find & Grow in a Relationship with Jesus Christ

Wednesdays // 6:30-8:30
Real Talk Logo .png

Current Series: Real Talk

Our student ministry is taking the month of May to have honest and meaningful conversations with students by asking deep questions and creating space for them to share their hearts. We want students to feel safe bringing their questions about life, faith, and culture — especially the things that confuse or challenge them. Through these conversations, we will provide biblically grounded, scripturally backed answers that help students process their thoughts, strengthen their faith, and grow in their relationship with Jesus.

OUR THEME for 2026 is DIFFERENT. Not different for the sake of standing out, but different because we are committed to the process of sanctification. As followers of Jesus, we believe that transformation is not a moment, but a journey. A journey where God is continually shaping our hearts, renewing our minds, and aligning our lives with His truth. Being DIFFERENT means, we refuse to settle for conformity to the world and instead pursue becoming more like Christ in our character, choices, and compassion. Through the work of the Holy Spirit, the truth of God’s Word, and daily obedience, we are being set apart, not as perfect people, but as people in process reflecting Jesus more clearly to the world around us. Different like Jesus!

Resources

Our mission as a church is to help people find and grow in a relationship with Jesus Christ. With that in mind, our goal as young adults is to constantly be growing. The following links are resources and tools to help you do just that.

Fuel Students exists to help middle and high school students find and grow in their relationship with Jesus Christ. We accomplish this by providing a fun, safe, gospel-centered environment where students can come into contact with our living and active God who loves them.

Our Wednesday night services consist of hang out time, games, worship, message, and small groups. Our small groups are broken down into boys and girls groups based on their grade so that students have a safe environment where they can ask questions, encourage their peers, laugh together, and pray for each other.

Our gatherings alternate each week:
  • Week 1: Bible Study – A time to dive into God’s Word together and grow spiritually.
  • Week 2: Hangout – A more relaxed time to connect, share life, and enjoy each other’s company.
Our schedule will repeat this pattern, so be sure to check the details each week to see what’s coming up! Check our calendar for specific dates and times, and feel free to reach out with any questions. We’d love for you to be part of what God is doing in Fuel Young Adults!

Celebrate Recovery

Hope & Healing

Fridays at 7:00 PM

A Christ-centered recovery program for anyone struggling with hurt, pain, or addiction of any kind. Led by Mike Hardin.

Celebrate Recovery

CR3.png
Celebrate Recovery is a Christ-centered, recovery program for anyone struggling with hurt, pain or addiction of any kind.
The purpose of Celebrate Recovery is to fellowship and celebrate God’s healing power in our lives through the eight recovery principles found in the Beatitudes and Christ-centered 12 steps. This experience allows us to be changed. We open the door by sharing our experiences, victories, and hopes with one another. In addition, we become willing to accept God’s grace in solving our life problems.

By working the Christ-centered steps and applying their Biblical principles found in the Beatitudes, we begin to grow spiritually. We become free from our addictive, compulsive, and dysfunctional behaviors. This freedom creates peace, serenity, joy, and most importantly, a stronger personal relationship with God and others.

As we progress through the principles and the steps, we discover our personal, loving and forgiving God.

What began in Fuel Church as a simple campaign to build a school/church in Marmont, Haiti has grown into something much bigger! We have since developed a child sponsorship initiative and other community projects. Realizing that our impact in Haiti can go beyond the walls of Fuel Church, we have launched a non-profit organization known as Love Haiti Partnership. Its purpose is to provide humanitarian aid and educational opportunities for children in Haiti, with the goal that each child will become a responsible and fulfilled adult. We are dedicated to the long-term development of children living in poverty in Haiti.

What We Believe

The Scriptures

+

We believe the Bible is the inspired, inerrant, and infallible Word of God.

The Holy Bible was written by men divinely inspired and is God's revelation of Himself to man. It is a perfect treasure of divine instruction. It has God for its author, salvation for its end, and truth, without any mixture of error, for its matter. Therefore, all Scripture is totally true and trustworthy.

2 Timothy 3:16-17 · 2 Peter 1:20-21 · Psalm 119:105

God

+

One God in three coequal persons — Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

There is one and only one living and true God. He is an intelligent, spiritual, and personal Being, the Creator, Redeemer, Preserver, and Ruler of the universe. The eternal triune God reveals Himself to us as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, with distinct personal attributes, but without division of nature, essence, or being.

Deuteronomy 6:4 · Matthew 28:19 · 2 Corinthians 13:14

Salvation

+

By grace through faith alone in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior.

Salvation involves the redemption of the whole man and is offered freely to all who accept Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, who by His own blood obtained eternal redemption for the believer. In its broadest sense salvation includes regeneration, justification, sanctification, and glorification. There is no salvation apart from personal faith in Jesus Christ as Lord.

Ephesians 2:8-9 · Romans 10:9-10 · John 3:16 · Acts 4:12

Baptism

+

Full immersion — an outward expression of an inward transformation.

Christian baptism is the immersion of a believer in water in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. It is an act of obedience symbolizing the believer's faith in a crucified, buried, and risen Savior, the believer's death to sin, the burial of the old life, and the resurrection to walk in newness of life in Christ Jesus.

Matthew 28:19-20 · Romans 6:3-5 · Acts 2:41

The Lord's Supper

+

A commemorative and symbolic remembrance of Christ's sacrifice.

The Lord's Supper is a symbolic act of obedience whereby members of the church, through partaking of the bread and the fruit of the vine, memorialize the death of the Redeemer and anticipate His second coming. It is an act of worship and reflection on the finished work of Christ on the cross.

1 Corinthians 11:23-29 · Luke 22:19-20

The Church

+

The collective body of believers — the Bride of Christ.

A New Testament church of the Lord Jesus Christ is an autonomous local congregation of baptized believers, associated by covenant in the faith and fellowship of the gospel. Each congregation operates under the Lordship of Christ through democratic processes. Its two offices are pastor/elder and deacon.

Matthew 16:15-19 · Ephesians 2:19-22 · 1 Corinthians 12:12-27

Christ's Return

+

We anticipate the personal, visible return of Christ and the bodily resurrection of all believers.

God, in His own time and in His own way, will bring the world to its appropriate end. Jesus Christ will return personally and visibly in glory to the earth; the dead will be raised; and Christ will judge all men in righteousness. The unrighteous will be consigned to Hell. The righteous will receive their reward and will dwell forever in Heaven with the Lord.

1 Thessalonians 4:14-18 · Revelation 22:20 · John 14:1-3

The Family

+

God ordained the family as the foundational institution of human society.

Marriage is the uniting of one man and one woman in covenant commitment for a lifetime. Children, from the moment of conception, are a blessing and heritage from the Lord. Parents are to teach their children spiritual and moral values and to lead them to make choices based on biblical truth.

Genesis 2:24 · Ephesians 5:22-33 · Proverbs 22:6

Evangelism & Missions

+

It is the duty and privilege of every follower of Christ to make disciples of all nations.

The Lord Jesus Christ has commanded the preaching of the gospel to all nations. It is the duty of every child of God to seek constantly to win the lost to Christ by verbal witness undergirded by a Christian lifestyle, and by other methods in harmony with the gospel of Christ.

Matthew 28:18-20 · Acts 1:8 · Romans 10:14-15

Denomination

+

Aligned with the Baptist Faith and Message 2000.

Fuel Church is affiliated with the Southern Baptist Convention and adheres to the Baptist Faith and Message 2000 as our comprehensive statement of faith. We believe in the autonomy of the local church, the priesthood of all believers, and religious liberty for all people.
